• Appointed Judicial Commissioner on 1 June 2000.
• Appointed High Court Judge on 15 May 2002.

 He is also the famous High Court judge who delivered a damning verdict against the police and the Inspector General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar over the death of detainee A Kugan while in police custody.
