Deputy Police Chief of Selangor
Dato A.Thaiveegan (Thaiveegan Arumugam) was born in Ipoh in 1959. He joined the Police force in 1985 and has since risen to the rank of DCP thus becoming the pride of the Indian community. Dato A.Thaiveegan possesses a B.A(HONS) from the University of Malaya and an M.A in Criminology from Nottingham.He has held many important positions in the Police force but he is popurlarly known for being the former Deputy Police Chief of Kedah and curent Deputy Police Chief of Selangor. He has also been the Acting Police Chief of Selangor since the post fell vacant in 2012.
