"Brig Jen Dato' N. Selvarajah was born on the 12th of March 1931. He joined the army in 1952 and was sent to Sandhurst  the United Kingdom in 1953 for further training and upon returning home in 1955 he assumed the position of Ferderation Engineer.He was promoted to the position of Chief Engineer on the11th of February 1968 with the rank of Colonel and remained a Colonel till the 20th of July 1970.On the 21st of July 1970 he was elevated to the rank of Brig Gen and remained a Chief Engineer till the 31st of Disember 1977. On the 1st of January 1978 he was once again promoted to become Major General ; 3rd Division General and subsequently a 4th Division General. He was the General in the 11th Division (TA) before retiring on the 11th of March 1986."
